SONULTRA ACQUIRES GROUND BREAKING KNOWLEDGE BASES
Introduces First Real Time Ultrasound Reporting And Clinical Reference Guide
New York, New York--November 4, 2002. Sonultra™ Corporation is pleased to announce the acquisition and integration of Platypus™, GyneE™, Fetal Cardiology™ and Knowledge Evaluator CME Series™ knowledge base, as part of the industry’s first real time Ultrasound Reporting and Clinical Reference Guide.
As the newest module of Sonultra’s comprehensive ultrasound practice management solution, these revolutionary knowledge bases were developed with contributions from 52 of the worlds leading medical centers, and contain comprehensive information relating to prenatal anomalies and gynecological pathologies. Developed over a ten-year period, each database contains textual information such as the description of the anomaly and pathology, differential diagnosis search capabilities, references, and sonographic features. Also included is a library of high definition still images and video images including sound, graphs and charts. Together they add up to a complete online clinical reference tool.
Don Parker, President of Sonultra comments: “The significant advantages of the system are the ease and versatility of searching and instantaneous access to a multimedia knowledge database, all while users are evaluating patient data and generating a report. It also has enormous potential as an educational tool, whether used as a primary learning tool or as a reference library.”
Sonultra’s new knowledge base programs provide exposure to real cases, offering a significant advantage to the user. “The benefit from a clinical perspective is that they offer the user full access to refresh their knowledge of fetal anomalies and to make actual case comparisons,” advises Dr. Greggory DeVore of the Fetal Diagnostic Center of Pasadena.
Complementing its innovative new product, for over 15 years Sonultra has been offering advanced OB and GYN reporting solutions to thousands of ultrasound providers. Advanced features include statistical analysis of data, digital image management solutions, HIS/RIS integration, including synchronization of remote DATA and Ultrasound Scanner Connectivity. For practices interested in AIUM accreditation, Sonultra’s experienced accreditation counselors also assist in developing practice protocols as well as accreditation applications.
