Configuring ULTRA 32

Opening Screen After clicking the ULTRA 32® icon on your desktop and entering your password, this opening screen appears and you are ready to begin! The first step is to configure and customize the program with the settings and formulas you desire.

Configuration Screen This slide and the next three slides will demonstrate how you: Customize the report header and footer Select the ultrasound scanner to accept data from Select Fetal Weight (FW) and Gestational Age (GA) configurations best suited for your practice Choose FW & GA formulas or customize your own.

Transferring Data COM Ports, or Communication Ports enable you to accept demographic and biometric data directly from your ultrasound scanner. Sonultra's long term relationship with ultrasound equipment manufacturers insures that you will maximize the information downloaded from your scanner improving your throughput. Up to four different ultrasound machines can be connected to one PC.

Defining FW / GA Configurations The configuration page enables you to easily customize your fetal growth and measurement analysis formulas to best match your patient demographics or your ultrasound scanner. Practices with more than one ultrasound scanner can establish a centralized database, improving the continuity of your serial studies.

Customizing FW & GA Formulas With more than a hundred biometric options ULTRA 32® offers you the most comprehensive selection of formulas in the market today. Should you identify a formula not currently offered by our system you may easily add the formula yourself or provide us with the appropriate article and we will be happy to add it for you.

Referring Physician Info This section of the program allows you to keep all the key information on referring physicians including complete address and contact information as well as personalized notes.

Data Storage & SonoStat The set up took only a few minutes and now you are ready to launch the program! From this page you may access SonoStat, ULTRA 32s statistical search system as well as back-up and restore data.

ImageAdvantage^TM 32

ImageAdvantage™ - Images Sonultra's Image Management option called, ImageAdvantage, integrates DICOM image management functionality with our ULTRA 32 reporting virtually eliminating the need for thermal paper. ImageAdvantage captures images electronically direct from the scanner, tags them to your ULTRA 32 Report and if you wish, print images directly on the report.

Report Options

Generating Reports The generation of clinical OB and GYN reports, Patient Education report and Customized Perinatal Consultation Reports are just some of the reports generated by ULTRA 32. Those practices using the ImageAdvantage module are able to incorporate images with the reports they generate.

OB Report, Page 1 ULTRA 32 reports are best printed in color as anomalies and measurements that represent areas of concern are printed in RED. Since ULTRA 32 reports are self paginating there is no need to define which type of report you want. Each report is created automatically based upon the questions you respond to.

OB Report, Page 2 Reports provide a serial plot your biometric information, including multiple gestations, as well as the actual percentile ranking each plot point represents. There is no limit to the number of serial plots you can generate.

Patient Education Report Our patient education reports provide a wonderful keepsake for expecting families. With the ImageAdvantage module, you can images to the report enabling patients to correlate the images with the overall development of their baby. Furthermore, you may customize any of the patient education reports we provide.

Consultation Letter Our Consultation Report enables you to create custom consultation letters (Amniocentesis, Spina Bifida) specific to your patient, automatically. Furthermore, you are able to utilize all of the edit features available in MS Word.

Demographics As you tab through our GYN Program, its format and overall operation will appear very familiar to you. The two principle differences between our OB and GYN programs is the use of GYN graphics and how we record our findings.

Anatomy - Uterus / Cervix Like our OB program most fields are fully customizable, furthermore, we accept biometric data from those scanners capable of transferring GYN biometric data.

Anatomy - Endometrium In addition to reporting on the Uterus and Cervix, our GYN program also addresses the Endometrium, Ovaries, Adnexa region as well as permitting you to customize other anatomical categories.

GYN Findings The Findings tab enables you to develop a differential diagnosis for any finding and compare these findings to previous studies, assisting you to identify any changes.

Locating GYN findings Just drag a marker to one of 13 GYN Images to indicate the location of your findings. Additional information can be added to the characteristics box just by typing as the characteristics box is also a modified word processor.

OB Features

OB Patient Info ULTRA 32 will automatically track patient studies including multiple gestations. You also have the opportunity to manage patient data including contact information, referring physician data, study location for multiple offices and personal notes.

Study Demographics The Demographics tab contains study specific data, with much of it LMP, Reporting Physician, Gravida, Indications and other data transferred over directly from the scanner. Please note the amount of data imported directly from the ultrasound machine varies depending upon the make, model and software version of the scanner.

Anatomy - Placenta / Position The Anatomy Tab reveals six anatomical sub-tabs that enables you to document even the most comprehensive exam. Placenta and Fetal Position responses generate images that illustrate your findings. If you can't find an appropriate image from our portfolio of 56 images we will be happy to have our medical illustrator generate additional images that effectively illustrate your findings.

Anatomy - AFI / Heart With few exceptions, most of the questions found under the Anatomy tab are fully customizable just by double clicking in the response field. AFI percentile ranking is based upon GA with anomalies indicated in RED.

Anatomy - Fetal In addition to a fully customizable Fetal Anatomy Survey, you can choose to globally default all un-responded questions to "No Anomalies Observed" with only one click.

Anatomy - Facial / Cranial The Facial / Cranial Tab provides additional detail to Head and Face questions found in Fetal Tab. Answer only the questions you wish as ULTRA 32 only reports on the questions you respond to. Unresponded questions don't appear anywhere in the report.

Anatomy - Maternal As with all tabs found under Anatomy, Maternal Anatomy offers customization and speedy response features to keep the average completion time of most reports under a minute.

Anatomy - Custom Offering complete flexibility, the Custom section under Anatomy enables you to create your own Headers, Questions and Responses.

Measurements - GA / Long Bones The Measurement tab contains more than 35 biometric measurements, many of which are downloaded directly from your ultrasound scanner to the ULTRA 32 reporting system. ULTRA 32s Trademarked Alert Bar compares the GA from Current Study, Earliest Study, LMP and User selected alerting you to any material discrepancies.

Measurements - Doppler Doppler Measurements are transferred directly from some of the newer scanners and if you provide us with with Doppler formulas used in your practice we will be happy to add them at no additional charge.

Procedures - BPP, Amnio, CVS The Procedures tab enables you to record Biophysical Profile (BPP), Amniocentesis and CVS information. BPP automatically adjusts its scoring to accommodate the three prevalent BPP scoring protocols. Amniocentesis and CVS share the same customization and flexibility capabilities found in the Anatomy section. Furthermore, you have the ability to illustrate on the fetal image where you performed your tap.

Comments The Comments Section enables you to store an unlimited number of custom templates which can be inserted into the comments section at any time. In addition to comments, the comments section enables you to record your ICD-9 Diagnosis Codes, as well as when you want to schedule any follow-up procedures.

Platypus Knowledge Base

Sonultra has integrated an OB Ultrasound Knowledgebase known as Platypus into ULTRA 32. The international database of almost 400 fetal anomalies was compiled from the contributions of more than 50 facilities. A partial list of contributors is featured below.

To retrieve information about a particular anomaly the user must indicate the anomaly they are interested in by clicking the appropriate field identified in the user input screen. For example, one way to learn more about Meningocele is to select Meningocele as a structured response for Spine click on it once to highlight it and press the “F1” function key.

Highlighting the *Meningocele field and tapping the F1 function key would yield the following: From this screen you can create view a Description, Diagnosis, Differential Diagnosis, Sonographic Features, Associated Syndromes, References and Still Images. At some later time we will be adding Video.

Below is partial list of Anomalies covering (Abruptio – Annular Pancreas) or about 5% of the anomalies we address. In addition to the information above, Platypus offers a Diagnostic Assistant that helps users develop search criteria for researching and learning about OB Ultrasound Anomalies.

To access the Diagnostic Assistant click the “Back” button. For example: If a user is interested in a possible Cardiovascular finding where the Ventricle Size was Right greater than Left they would generate 17 potential findings, a partial list is found below.
